Regals boast of their CB2 facilities

Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas is pleased to announce the full operational status of College Building 2, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s ongoing commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities for its students, faculty and administrators.
This development signifies KLD’s dedication to providing a supportive learning environment. The enhanced facilities within College Building 2 are designed to foster academic excellence and facilitate a productive educational experience.

KLD remains committed to continuous improvement and investment in its infrastructure, ensuring that students have access to the resources they need to thrive.

KLD hosts Pre-employment Seminar

The Pre-Employment Seminar 2025, held on February 28, 2025 at Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas, was a resounding success. The event, themed “Global Competence, Local Impact,” was organized by the Center for Mission, Linkages, and External Relations (CMLER) in line with the institution’s vision to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world. With 550 graduating students from BSIS and BSP as participants , the seminar featured an interactive talk between the participants and speaker aimed at preparing the students for the world of employment.

Ms. Emile Therese B. Garcia delivered a very informative and engaging talk on the topic of “Preparing for the World of Employment.” She shared her insights on the skills and knowledge that are essential for success in the workplace, with a special focus on crafting outstanding resumes that catch the eye of potential employers, and tips and tricks on how to confidently ace job interviews. The students were very receptive to her message and asked insightful questions during the open forum.

The success of the KLD Pre-Employment Seminar was a collaborative effort, contributing to the professional readiness of the graduating students.

KLD deploys its Students for On-the-Job Training

KLD has deployed its BS in Psychology and BS in Information Systems students for on-the-job training. This program provides practical experience, bridging academic learning with real-world application. KLD aims to equip students with industry-ready skills through partnerships with various organizations.

Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Students

The 166 students under Bachelor of Science in Information Systems were deployed for their on-the-job training (OJT) program. This initiative, aligning with CHED-CMO 15, series of 2015, will provide students with 486 hours of invaluable industry experience.

The deployment process was coordinated by Arnold Galve, Coordinator of the Students’ Industry Relations Section, whose dedication and expertise were instrumental in facilitating the successful placement of each student. Students have been placed in 56 diverse partner companies. Students have been placed in companies such as iQor Philippines, Okada Manila, Primewater Infrastructure Corp., Southern Luzon College, SSS Robinsons Place Dasmariñas Branch, SSS Salitran Branch, St. Jude College-Dasmariñas Cavite, Inc., Wellcare Clinics & Labs Inc., and Your Virtual World, among others, representing a broad spectrum of industries.

The OJT program is designed to cultivate essential skills, including analytical and technical proficiency, programming expertise, soft skills, and office work management. Students will engage in tasks that directly apply their academic knowledge, preparing them for successful careers in the dynamic field of information systems.

The expected completion date for the OJT program is April 30, 2025, although individual completion dates may vary depending on students’ start dates. Upon completion, students are required to submit a comprehensive narrative report, documenting their experiences and acquired skills.

Bachelor of Science in Psychology

KLD has deployed the Bachelor of Science in Psychology students for their on-the-job training (OJT) program. Students will undertake a 200-hour OJT program in various partner institutions, engaging in psychology-related activities under the supervision of qualified professionals. These activities include, but are not limited to, policy planning, employee testing and selection, training and development, as well as organizational development and analysis. The supervision will be provided by registered psychometricians, Human Resource Managers, or HR officers-in-charge, ensuring that students receive guidance from experienced professionals.

Psychology students have embarked on diverse On-the-Job Training (OJT) deployments across several prominent institutions. These placements include De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, Bahay PAGASA, Heart of Jesus Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, Kanlong Foundation for Differently-abled Children , Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Cavite Center for Mental Health, Bahay Kalinga (CSWD Office), Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions, Inc.,  Lifeline Rehabilitation Center and many more. KLD expresses its gratitude to the partner institutions for their support and collaboration in providing valuable training opportunities for its students

KLD sees continued progress in the CB3 Construction

KLD is making significant strides in its campus development through the ongoing construction of College Building 3 (CB3). These developments mark a substantial step forward in enhancing the institution’s facilities and providing an improved environment for students, faculty, and administration.

The ground floor of CB3 will soon provide space for the college’s central administration and important academic resources. Specifically, this level will provide offices, including the Office of the President, the Offices of the Vice Presidents, a new Audio-Visual Room, and a library extension. This reconfiguration aims to centralize administrative functions and expand student learning spaces.  Furthermore, the fourth floor of CB3 is being developed to enrich the student experience. It will feature a Student Center, a new school clinic, and a sizable cafeteria/coffee shop. This area is intended to foster a more engaging campus life by furnishing students with spaces or recreation, community interaction, and access to essential services.

The ongoing enhancements to College Building 3 emphasize the institution’s dedication to growth and progress, with the objective of cultivating an even more supportive and dynamic campus.

KLD releases results of the survey on Allied Health Programs

A recent survey conducted by KLD has revealed significant community interest and support for the introduction of Allied Health Programs, including Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology, and Doctor of Medicine program.

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology

The survey revealed a strong interest in a proposed Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science program. Out of 317 respondents, 99 (31.2%) were from the STEM strand, indicating the highest level of interest, followed closely by 94 (29.7%) from HUMSS. ABM contributed 46 (14.5%), while 26 (8.2%) were from TVL, 12 (3.8%) from GAS, and 16 (5.0%) were categorized as “Others.” Notably, 24 (7.6%) respondents did not attend senior high school. The data suggest a promising demand for the program within the KLD community.

Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology

The survey conducted has indicated substantial interest in a proposed Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology program. The survey reached 426 respondents and revealed a strong inclination towards the program. The data shows that the STEM strand comprises the largest portion of potential students, with 166 respondents (39.0%) expressing interest. Following closely, 110 respondents (25.8%) from the HUMSS strand also demonstrated a significant level of interest. The ABM strand accounted for 64 respondents (15.0%), while TVL contributed 34 respondents (8.0%). Notably, 18 respondents (4.2%) indicated they did not attend K-12, and another 18 (4.2%) fell under “Others.” The GAS strand showed 16 respondents (3.8%).

Doctor of Medicine

The survey in a Doctor of Medicine program revealed that 38% of respondents were undergraduate students, indicating strong interest among the current student body. Post-graduate students comprised 28%, while bachelor’s degree holders accounted for 25%. The remaining 9% fell into an “others” category. These results suggest a diverse interest in the proposed medical program.

KLD concludes the 2025 Admission Test

KLD has successfully completed its admissions testing for the upcoming academic year 2025-2026. The institution oversaw a significant turnout, with 2,832 prospective students participating in the examinations out of a total of 3,238 applicants.

KLD offers a variety of programs, including Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing, Midwifery, Civil Engineering, Psychology, Information Systems, and Life Sciences.

The institution has announced that the results of the admissions test are expected to be released in the last week of March. Applicants are advised to monitor the official KLD website and social media channels for updates and detailed instructions on how to access their results. Following the release of results, all qualified applicants will have a two-week period to confirm their slots. Confirmation must be done in person at KLD Building 1, Room 1204, from Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Failure to confirm slots within the specified period will result in forfeiture of the said slots.

Center for Emergency Management, Security and Safety through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee

KLD congratulates Center for Emergency Management, Security and Safety through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee for its exemplary commitment to energy efficiency, achieving a remarkable 90.5% rating and a prestigious 5-star score in a recent energy audit conducted by the Department of Energy (DOE) under the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP). This outstanding performance underscores the institution’s dedication to sustainable practices and responsible energy consumption.

This achievement is attributed to the diligent efforts of the Center for Emergency Management, Security and Safety (CEMSS), particularly its Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee. The committee, composed of Jaycee N. Toledo, Engr. Mark Pascua, Eunice Luching, Mary Jesreth Bayas, Alona Navarro, Dexter Sembrano, Russel Gatdula, Frederick Ercia, and Allan M. Militante for preparing, implementing and monitoring energy-saving measures across the institution.

The KLD community congratulates Jaycee Toledo, Director of the Center for Emergency Management, Security and Safety for being the Employee of the Month.

Director Toledo’s dedication in the remarkable success of the recent energy audit conducted by the Department of Energy (DOE) under the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) is truly commendable. The center achieved an impressive 90.5% rating and a coveted 5-star score, demonstrating an exemplary commitment to energy efficiency. This achievement reflects Toledo’s proactive approach to implementing sustainable practices and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.

Beyond energy efficiency, Toledo’s dedication extends to ensuring the safety and order of the institution; his meticulous implementation of policies for parking has streamlined operations and enhanced accessibility. Furthermore, his proactive approach to disaster preparedness was evident in the seamless preparation for the first-quarter simultaneous earthquake drill. This showcased his ability to coordinate and lead effective emergency response measures, ensuring the safety of all personnel.
