The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas proudly congratulates its students who achieved remarkable success in the December 2024 and January 2025 Certified Human Resource Associate (CHRA) examination administered by the Human Resource Educators’ Association of the Philippines, Inc.
The community celebrates the achievements of its students. Maegan M. Sumampong successfully passed the December 2024 CHRA exam. In the January 2025 exams, KLD students demonstrated exceptional performance, with Shaina L. Quiozon achieving Rank 2 and Mikaela Nicole P. Ramos securing Rank 5. Joining them as January 2025 passers are Jadene J. Barrameda, Emmanuel A. Biri, Dianne E. Diaz, Ma. Isabell S. Erracho, Tempudaya S. Mama, Juan Carlo R. Oñate, Hanna Carlota R. Padilla, Andrea D. Perez, Genesis Bleth A. Perez, Zareen Pia Cerita P. Quilop, Nooghf Zyril E. Relucio, Kiana Jan C. Sarabusab, Christine Nicole C. Senador, Angelica A. Serwelas, and Camille Torero. This collective success highlights the dedication and quality of education at KLD, contributing to the growing pool of certified HR professionals in the region.

This achievement significantly contributes to the KLD community by showcasing the quality of education and training provided by the institution. EDA 2025: KLD Employees engage in a thorough discussion in timely and relevant career development ventures
As part of the organizational development in KLD, Employees’ Development Activities (EDA) was held on January 13-15, 2025 at the Northpine Land Inc. Hall, Upper Ground, College Building 2, Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas, organized by the Office of the Vice President for Research, Mission and External Affairs.
The topics considered in this EDA were the evaluation results from the previous Faculty Development Activities (FDA), held August 5-9, 2024. Experts from top universities in the region and the country were invited as resource speakers.
Day 1: Internationalization and Lifelong Learning
The activity kicks off with a morning session on “Internationalization Initiatives and its Impacts on World University Rankings” by Dr. Engelbert C. Pasag, Vice President for Internationalization at Panpacific University. This session explores how global engagement can enhance an institution’s standing and educational quality.
The afternoon session featured Dr. Rufo Gil Z. Albor from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, discussing “Understanding Micro credentials for Lifelong Learning.” This topic is particularly relevant as education systems adapt to the changing needs of learners and the job market.
Day 2: Well-being and Communication in Education
Day two begins with Dr. Monica H. Walet, a registered psychologist, addressing the crucial topic of “Maintaining a Balanced Well-being.” This session acknowledges the importance of mental health in the educational sector.
In the afternoon, Dr. Angela Labador from De La Salle University led a session on “Enhancing Communication Skills for a Better Work Relationship,” emphasizing the importance of effective communication in educational settings.
Day 3: Sustainable Development and Quality Management
The final day featured Dr. Arlyne Marasigan from Philippine Normal University, discussing “Integrating Sustainable Development Goals into Higher Education Curricula.” This session aligns with global efforts to incorporate sustainability into education.
The assembly concludes with Dr. Josefina R. Rint’s presentation on “Securing ISO Certification and Quality Management for Accreditation and Institutional Rankings,” providing insights into maintaining high standards in educational institutions.
Employees’ Development Activities (EDA) represents an invaluable opportunity for educators and administrators to gain insights, share experiences, and contribute to the advancement of education in an ever-changing global landscape.
Enrollment Statistics for the Second Semester of AY 2024-2025 sees a 6.2% attrition
Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas (KLD) is actively engaged in understanding and responding to enrollment trends observed between the first and second terms of the Academic Year 2024-2025. While the College has noted a shift in overall student numbers, KLD remains steadfast in its commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment for all its students.
Data provided by The Registrar indicates a decline in overall student numbers from 5,741 in the first term to 5,383 in the second term, representing a decrease of 358 students.
KLD remains deeply committed to its mission of providing quality education and fostering a thriving learning community. The College is actively pursuing several initiatives to enhance the student experience and ensure continued growth and success.
KLD underscores its first year admission status
The online application for the incoming first year students started on January 20, 2025. For this year, there are 2,245 slots available for the courses offered. 400 slots for BS Nursing, 90 slots for BS MIdwifery, 495 slots for BS Psychology, 315 slots for BS Information Systems, 360 slots for BS Civil Engineering, 135 slots for BS Life Sciences (Biology) – recently CHED approved program, for CHED approval programs – 90 slots for BS Social Work, 90 slots for BS Data Science and 270 slots for BS Computer Science.
According to the Admission and Testing Unit – ISACEC, all slots were taken and the applicants are expected to take the KLD entrance examination on February 9, 16 and 23, 2025.

KLD Community commits for continuous service and success in 2025
Maria Lourdes Javier, a faculty member at KLD, has made a powerful commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in education within Dasmariñas. Her pledge emphasizes lifelong learning, community service, and a holistic approach to education that extends beyond the traditional classroom setting.
“As an educator, I am committed to fostering a culture of excellence by strengthening education, fostering lifelong learning, and promoting and encouraging community service,” Javier stated. Her vision transcends simply imparting knowledge and aims to empower both students and fellow educators to embrace continuous growth and contribute meaningfully to society. Her commitment involves investing in her own continuous learning and empowering fellow educators through professional development and mentorship. She aims to guide students toward lifelong learning and social responsibility by integrating service-learning into her teachings, bridging theory and practice. Javier also plans to foster peer learning communities, recognizing the value of collaborative learning and shared industry experience. Furthermore, she will prioritize community engagement through volunteer initiatives, outreach programs, and partnerships with local organizations, providing students with hands-on learning and fostering civic responsibility. Through these interconnected strategies, Javier aspires to create a culture where educators inspire.
The Mission and Development Unit of the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas has reaffirmed its commitment to driving positive change in the city. Headed by Bien Anonuevo, the unit has pledged to be a catalyst for social transformation, environmental preservation, and economic growth in Dasmariñas. This commitment is anchored in the SULONG TAYO Program, KLD’s flagship extension effort. The unit, in collaboration with partner institutions, will leverage this program to uplift the lives of Dasmarineños through diverse engagements designed to improve their social, environmental, and economic standing. “For the first half of this year, Mission and Development Unit as part of the Center for Mission, Linkages and External Relations under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Mission and External Affairs will initiate an upskilling project of vulnerable sectors in the City through research orientation and production; skills development in accordance to the nature of KLDs academic institutes; social entrepreneurship; and family development.
This project will equip students with confident capabilities which they could bring whether for academic and professional purposes or labor related ventures.”, stated Bien Anonuevo.
Julie Ann Jasmin, Nurse I from the Health Services Unit at KLD, has pledged to enhance the unit’s efficiency and responsiveness. ” I am fully committed to enhancing the efficiency and responsiveness of our unit, by ensuring the delivery of compassionate and accessible healthcare for students, faculty, and staff over the next six months and beyond,” Jasmin stated.
She is dedicated to leading by example, implementing high standards of clinical practice and prioritizing patient safety. Jasmin’s goal is to contribute to KLD’s overall success by maintaining professionalism and ensuring the Health Services Unit remains a place of safety, trust, and healing for the entire college community.
The Central Student Government of Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas has pledged to be a “force for positive change,” not just a governing body. “The Central Student Government of Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas is not just a governing body, but a force for positive change,” the CSG stated. Committed to serving their fellow “Regals” with dedication and integrity, the CSG will focus on enhancing academic support, fostering an inclusive campus environment, and strategically improving student welfare. They pledge to advocate for policies that benefit the student body and actively engage in community service. Upholding good governance, transparency, and inclusivity, the CSG aims to build a stronger, more connected, and empowered student body, ensuring every Regal voice is heard and every need addressed.
The CSG expresses its gratitude to their adviser, Mr. Prince Marcus Andre’ Soriano Lerma, and the KLD administration, including the President/College Administrator Dr. Juanito O. Cabanias, ISACEC Dean Mr. Geordan L. Carungcong, and Head of Student Activities and Development Unit Mr. Jet Martine S. Geronimo, along with the teaching and non-teaching personnel, for their unwavering support. The CSG believes in a KLD where every student thrives and succeeds, and this, they affirm, is their commitment and promise.
OFFICE OF THE MONTH

This well-deserved recognition highlights their role in shaping KLD’s image, guiding its strategic direction, and fostering effective communication within the college community and beyond.
Under the leadership of Director Jerbert Abargos, and with the dedicated support of Josephine C. Casugbo, Engr. Francis Dominic Lavilles, and Judea Arthuree Aquino, the Center for Public Affairs, Strategic Planning, and Communications oversees and coordinates all public relations, strategic planning, and communication activities, working collaboratively with various units, departments, and offices to develop cohesive development plans. The CPRSPC ensures adherence to KLD’s Communication Policies, Standards, and Guidelines, maintaining alignment between all activities and communication portfolios with the institution’s strategic directions.

The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas proudly congratulates Leo Guisseppe N. Dinglasan, Registrar III, as the Staff of the Month. This well-deserved recognition celebrates Mr. Dinglasan’s exceptional contributions and dedication to the KLD community, particularly his role in the recent successful enrollment period.
Mr. Dinglasan’s commitment to efficiency and student well-being was clearly evident throughout the enrollment process. He addressed inquiries, resolved issues, and provided invaluable support to students. His efforts were key to the overall success of the enrollment period, contributing significantly to KLD’s smooth start to the second term of this academic year.
Beyond his contributions to the enrollment process, Mr. Dinglasan consistently demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude in all his duties. His dedication to accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to providing excellent service make him a true role model for his colleagues.
