KLD President’s Christmas message: A community effort, a shared success
In his Christmas message, President/College Administrator Dr. Johnny O. Cabanias emphasized the spirit of community and shared success that has driven the College’s remarkable achievements in 2024.

Dr. Cabanias underscored that these successes are achieved through the collaborative efforts of the entire KLD community and stakeholders. He extended his gratitude to Team Dasma and all benefactors of the institution for their unwavering support. He also acknowledged the vision and unwavering support of the late Cong. Pidi Barzaga and Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga, whose leadership has been instrumental in KLD’s establishment and development.
As the college enters 2025, Dr. Cabanias urged the community to maintain a positive outlook and strive for continued success. He concluded his message by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a meaningful New Year.
KLD employees celebrate Thanksgiving Day
The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas (KLD) held its annual Thanksgiving Day celebration on December 20, 2024, at Macavinta Hall, Building 1. The event was a special occasion for KLD employees to come together to celebrate their accomplishments and express gratitude for a successful year.





The celebration featured a variety of entertaining games that encouraged employee participation and fostered camaraderie. Laughter and cheers filled the hall as teams competed in friendly games, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.
To add to the festive atmosphere, a raffle draw was held, offering exciting prizes to lucky employees. Sponsors of the event included George Albes (Php 3000), Team Dasma (Php 5000) and La Couture de Dasmariñas (Php 10,000). The event provided a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for employees to socialize and build stronger relationships with their colleagues.
The Thanksgiving Day celebration was a complete success, serving as a reminder of the strong sense of community and shared values that define the KLD family. It was a day filled with gratitude, appreciation, and a renewed commitment to excellence.
KLD conducts 6th Bayanihan Day
KLD successfully held its 6th Bayanihan Day on December 20, 2024, with a strong focus on campus cleanliness. This event has become an integral part of the institution’s culture, fostering a spirit of volunteerism and civic responsibility among its employees and students.





Student volunteers, faculty members and non-teaching personnel actively participated in a massive clean-up drive, transforming the campus through various activities. They dedicated their time and energy to improve the overall cleanliness of the campus. They were assigned to different areas of the campus, each group tackling specific tasks. Teams cleaned the floor.
within the building, chairs, and facilities, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all. All these activities aimed at demonstrating the commitment of the entire institution to maintaining a clean and healthy campus environment.
The 6th Bayanihan Day not only improved the physical appearance of the campus but also fostered a stronger sense of community among students, faculty, and staff. Through their collective efforts, the KLD community once again showcased the power of “bayanihan” in creating a more conducive and welcoming learning space for all.
City of Dasmariñas holds Christmas Party
The City of Dasmariñas held its annual Christmas Party on December 23, 2024, at the City of Dasmariñas Arena. The event featured a variety of activities, including games and competitions among different city offices.


A highlight of the celebration was the raffle draw, offering an array of prizes. These included household appliances such as refrigerators, flat screen televisions, rice cookers, laptops, as well as enticing cash prizes. Cash prizes ranged from smaller denominations of Php 5,000 and Php 10,000 to more substantial amounts of Php 20,000 and Php 30,000. The grand prize, a
significant sum of Php 50,000, added an element of excitement to the proceedings.
The Christmas Party, made possible through the support of the late Congressman Pidi Barzaga, BM Kiko Barzaga, and the entire Sangguniang Panlungsod Members headed by Vice Mayor Rex Mangubat, provided an opportunity for city employees to unwind, foster camaraderie, and celebrate the holiday season.


Office of the Month
The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas has proudly named the Center for Management Information Systems (CMIS) as the Office of the Month for its significant contributions to the organization’s overall success.

Headed by Noel Digma, CMIS plays a crucial role in streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency through the development and implementation of innovative information systems.
The team, which includes Mark Christopher B. Borja, Head of the System Analysis and Design Unit, and Con Marvin B. Serrano, Head of the System and Applications Development Unit, has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence in their work.
A prime example of their achievements is the successful development and implementation of the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS). This system is designed to manage payroll and benefits administration, thus leading to the improvement of accuracy, time efficiency, and employee satisfaction.
The CMIS team’s dedication to continuous improvement to address the institution’s evolving technological needs have earned them this well-deserved recognition. Their innovative solutions and expertise have not only improved internal processes but have also contributed to the overall growth and success of KLD.

Employee of the Month

The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas (KLD) has recognized Maria Archie Cabig, Director for Center for People Operations and Resource Management, as the Employee of the Month for December. This recognition acknowledges her significant contributions to the successful organization of the recent KLD Thanksgiving Day celebration.
Ms. Cabig’s responsibilities included planning, organizing, and overseeing the entire activity to ensure a smooth and enjoyable event for all KLD employees. Beyond this specific event, she plays a crucial role in managing various aspects of human resource management at KLD. Her duties encompass employee relations and training programs. She demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering a positive and supportive work environment for all KLD personnel.
This recognition underscores Ms. Cabig’s dedication and valuable contributions to the KLD community. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence serve as an inspiration to her colleagues.
