The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmarinas Institute of Midwifery (IOM) intends to assist the City of Dasmarinas in preparing and producing professional midwives who are of high caliber, knowledgeable, and compassionate in the future.

The Institute of Midwifery was established on September 18, 2021 trough the initiative of Congressman Elpidio Barzaga Jr., and Mayor Jennifer Austria-Barzaga. The Institute initially offered the Diploma in Midwifery program comprising 4 sections headed by Ms. Alona R. Navarro as the program chair. In August 20, 2023 the first batch of 46 Diploma in Midwifery students were conferred as graduates by the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmarinas. 

In response to the demand of the midwifery profession through the signing of CHED Memorandum Order No. 3 series of 2023, the straight Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program was subsequently offered by the institute with 85 enrollees. Through the leadership of Dean Luchel Z. Gloriani, the institute continues to equip midwifery students with the passion and commitment to serve families and communities.

Mission:

                  The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmarinas School of Midwifery is committed to producing scientifically-informed and value-laden professional midwives equipped with global competencies and technical knowledge of maternal health and childcare towards securing optimum health outcomes.

Vision:

                  The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmarinas School of Midwifery envisions itself as one of the excellent partners of the City of Dasmarinas in increasing access to quality maternal health and child care through quality-oriented and competency-based midwifery education.

Goal:

      The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmarinas commits itself to carry out the following goals:

  1. Educate the Dasmarinenos to become holistically-developed learners. The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmarinas shall utilize a holistic approach in learning to cultivate student`s intellectual, moral and socio-cultural consciousness for their personal growth and development relevant to nation-building.
  • Empower the Dasmarinenos to become potential leaders of the future. The Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmarinas shall develop intellectual training and academic related programs to nurture students leadership potentials needed for securing the integrity of the community and for the sustainable future of the city.
  • Engage the Dasmarinenos in service learning to become contributions to become contributors to the continuous improvement of the city. The Kolehiyo ng Dasmarinas shall create research and extension activities to strengthen students commitment in preserving the core values to the institution and contributing to societal improvement towards a competitive human capital relevant to the onward-forward principle of the city.
