The Director for Quality Assurance, Accreditation, and Certification oversees and assists the College in achieving its strategic goals for quality, excellence, and ongoing improvement both locally and globally. The office closely collaborates with the academic and supports units to carry out routine quality assurance audits, assessments, evaluations, and accreditation.

Reports to the:           The President

Appointment  :           The Director for Center for Quality Assurance, Accreditation, and Certification is appointed by the President.

Term               :           He/she serves for a specified period of time and may be reappointed for another term unless sooner removed for cases such as incapacity, incompetence and dishonesty and/or convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude and other grave offenses as decided by a competent court of Law.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Director for Quality Assurance, Accreditation, and Certification shall undertake the following functions:

  1. Develops plans for quality assurance and improvement for the institution, including strategies, polices, processes, and systems.
  2. Establishes a systematic collection of documents based on set standards from various accrediting bodies.
  3. Leads the implementation of effective quality mechanisms to facilitate quality assurance.
  4. Communicates and implements plans to bring KLD’s institutional plans and policies into compliance with national and international standards.
  5. Promotes the active participation of KLD community in quality improvement efforts across all university functions.
  6. Updates the institution t national and international standards set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (SO), Quacquarelli Symonds’ QS Star Rating, the Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Order, and Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA), ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) and other accrediting bodies in higher education.
  7. Collaborates with the Vice President for Administration, Planning and Development for planning and setting policies relative to quality standards and accreditation
